Scope

ecards

1999

The first image was my illustration pitch which granted me the project.

Consider the year of its production and you could then appreciate this project’s complexity and intricacy. A person visiting Scope’s product website could have an option to send a kiss by an email. The process started with selecting two characters: one would be the sender; the other the receiver. Then the sender would select a storyline with an option for a message.

The animation process meant the characters had to be more simplified to reduce the animation work fit for the production demands. Characters where designed and illustrated for all gestures for both sides of the story for the five different scenes. For the deliveries, I did not make rough animations illustrating the actions; I only provided storyboards for the animation production team who scripted the objects into play.

Later in the year, a new creative group within the agency re-hired me for additional ecards
